Construction of a Duct Bank for BC Hydro

BC Hydro’s George Dickie electrical substation is located in Kerrisdale, South Vancouver in the shared traditional territories of the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations

BC Hydro awarded the civil duct bank construction work to JB Horizons LP, a partnership between Musqueam member owner company C&C Horizon Contracting and Jacob Bros Construction. The project involved installation of a duct bank and pilaster, asphalt restoration, soil testing and contaminated soil disposal. Safety, environmental and quality management were key components in the successful delivery of this project.

JB Horizons LP has the primary goal of creating employment, training, and career development opportunities for Musqueam Band members.
