Deltaport Terminal Road & Rail Improvements
Delta, 2014
Complete design and construction of the railway overpass, approaches and utility relocates.
The Deltaport Terminal Road and Rail Improvement Project was a design-build project, constructed by Jacob Bros through a Joint Venture with Dragados Canada. Maintaining continuous road and rail service to the terminal operators at Deltaport during construction was a critical requirement. Scope included the complete design and construction of the railway overpass, approaches and many utility relocates. All of the tracks feeding the container port required carefully-staged realignment to accommodate the new overpass. Several stages of detours were also required to re-route port truck traffic during the various stages of the bridge and approach construction.
