Craigflower Pump Station

Victoria, 2015
Construction of an iconic architectural concrete, structural steel and heavy timber structure to house a sanitary pump station.

The Craigflower Pump Station was designed to blend into the residential waterfront community of View Royal on Vancouver Island. The structure employs architectural concrete, structural steel and heavy timber frame construction to lend a west-coast theme through dramatic architecture. The bulk of the equipment is housed in a cast-in-place concrete foundation and subterranean structures comprising an inlet chamber, wet well, pump room and valve chamber. State-of-the-art equipment provided for energy efficiency, redundancy, increased capacity, odour control, digital controls, monitoring, and a back-up diesel generator.
